{Weekend Footnotes } CO/OP + Chef Jessie Rockwell Club

And just like that, the first week of December just flew by.  Are the holiday lunches, dinner parties, reunions and get-togethers in full swing already for you? Mine are paced just right, BUT I feel overwhelmed because the kids have been having swim meets  for the  three straight weekends!  Whew, can anyone spell "tired mama"?

Mommy duties have been taking up much more time than usual, so a get-together with some friends is always a welcome break during the weekends.  Last Friday, I had lunch at CO/OP.

CO/OP is a hip coffee shop and retail store located in San Juan.  The place is tucked in a quiet spot along A. Mabini that if you drive by too fast, you will miss it.  I've always wanted to go in everytime we pass by, so when some of my mommy friends invited me to have lunch, I knew I have to say yes.

One side of the place is a retail store that sells unique items such as the one shown in the photos below:

The throw pillows are for sale at P750.00.

There are also a lot of  interesting decorative details on display.

The other half of the place is a resto, which serves good sandwiches, pasta and salad.  I do not really remember what we had because I did not do the ordering, but I was quick with my camera so you can enjoy my food photos.

Pastor Peter shared another wonderful message last Sunday about the importance of developing the right perspective, which you can view in its entirety right here.

It was so timely because just the day before, on Saturday, my daughter felt so bad about a situation.  She felt upset that this person did something to intentionally betray her, and she was so frustrated and could not believe that someone could actually be that mean. It is a sad reality of life that some people are present in our lives to simply serve as a lesson.  I let her rant for a good one hour, and then she calmed down.  I heard her talking to her brother after about how to deal with this friend.

Pastor Peter's message that Sunday was just perfect. Having a godly perspective means when we encounter betrayals, instead of focusing on getting upset, we should ask God what He wants us to learn from that situation.  When it comes to God's people, nothing happens by accident.  God allows certain things to happen for a reason.  When people do evil against us, face it with the right perspective.  As Genesis 50:20 says, "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good..."
It's been quite some time since I posted an #OOTD, so here goes one... So nice that we were both in blue

It's been sometime since we last ate at Chef Jessie, so last Sunday C made plans to eat there.

Classi French Onion Soup with Gruyere Cheese P260.00

Cream of Fresh Mushroom Soup P200.00

Creamy Shrimp Bisque P260.00

Fish & Chips in Tartare Sauce P750.00

Grilled Chilean Se Bass topped with Pan-fried Goose Liver P1,500.00

 Ostrich Salpicao
