Human Nature

All my three kids have very sensitive skin, and suffer from varying degrees of eczema. So I am very choosy when it comes to their body wash, shampoo, lotion, and even the laundry soap… basically everything that comes into contact with their skin.

But one of the brands that I trust for my kids is Human Nature. So when Human Heart founder, Anna Meloto-Wilk, invited the SoMoms for an intimate brunch to introduce the new and improved baby products of Human Nature, I just had to say yes because I wanted to meet the amazing lady behind the brand.

Human Nature knows that baby’s skin is ten times more sensitive than adults, that is why they make sure that their baby line is 100% free from harmful chemicals such as SLS and SLES, silicone and paraben. While I do not have babies anymore, but we still use Natural Baby Wonder Oil. The 100% Natural Baby Wonder Oil is made with premium-grade sunflower oil, and is also great for my kids who apply it right after taking a bath to help seal in the body's moisture. This has helped keep their eczema in control.

While she loves the scent, I love that it has gone through a cold process allowing it to retain natural glycerin that seals in moisture to keep her eczema-prone skin soft and supple.

During the brunch, the Human Heart team also introduced to us Plush & Play, a Filipino brand that offers fun, educational and safe toys for children. The Plush & Play brand was launched in 2012 after its founder, Fabien Courteille, a twenty-four year-old French social entrepreneur, learned that majority of the toys in the Philippines came from China and that most of them contain toxic substances or parts (such as plastic) that pose health hazard to children. Plush & Play toys are made with a soft and hypoallergenic fabric called Velboa, which is ideal for infants and toddlers.
