Apericena at Seda BGC's Straight Up Bar

I got an invite last week for an "apericena" at the Straight Up Bar of Seda Hotels BGC. Which got me intrigued as to what apericena is all about. This is my first time to get invited to one, and so I gladly confirmed my attendance.

Apericena, according to the Italian SEDA Group Manager, Andrea Mastellone,  is basically Happy Hour Italian style! 

SEDA Group Manager, Andrea Mastellone is an Italian hotelier who has had an impressive record of managing prestigious properties in more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry.

The apericena was held at the rooftop bar of SEDA BGC, Straight Up.

Straight Up offers guests a choice of enjoying the stunning cityscape “al fresco”, or lounging indoors amid high ceilings, surrounded by black-and-white abstract photographs of Bonifacio Global City. It also has a private room that can accommodate intimate groups of up to 30 persons, the private room also offers the option of extending to the outdoor area.

Apericena

AS I've mentioned earlier, the “apericena” is a modern Italian trend designed as a prelude to dinner featuring aperitifs and a buffet of appetizers enjoyed in the company of friends. 

Among the choices of aperetifs were a local version of limoncello, using calamansi.

Basically, you order a drink at a regular price and you get access to the buffet for FREE. The buffet offerings vary by day, but whatever you may get with your drink, it surely is a nice way to nibble on something while relaxing after a long day.  So instead of getting stuck in traffic on your way home, arrange for an apericena at Straight Up Bar with your friends.

My friends and I love the international variety of the buffet offerings.  

  

The apericena buffet is free with any order of an alcoholic beverage or mocktail from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Sundays to Thursdays.

Aperi-Grill

“Aperi-grill” is an innovation from the bar’s apericena.  Aperi-grill follows the same concept, but focusing on grilled items on Fridays and Saturdays.

Wine Buffet

Wine lovers will enjoy the introduction of a Wine Buffet which will showcase quality international house wines at only Php 800 nett from 4:00 until 8:00 pm daily.

Barbecue Dinner

On weekends, Straight Up offers a range of sizzling items fresh off-the-grill. The Barbecue Dinner Buffet features meats, seafood, sausages, sides and other appetizers, pasta and desserts. This unique rooftop cookout experience can be enjoyed at only Php800++ per person from 8:00 to 10:30 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

SEDA Hotel BGC

Along with the invite for the apericena, my whole family was also invited for a weekend staycation at SEDA BGC. This is not our first time to stay in a SEDA hotel; we were also invited last year to stay at SEDA Nuvali. A stay at any SEDA hotel is simply superb because it is an Ayala hotel, after all.
