{Weekend Footnotes } CO/OP + Chef Jessie Rockwell Club

And just like that, the first week of December just flew by.  Are the holiday lunches, dinner parties, reunions and get-togethers in full swing already for you? Mine are paced just right, BUT I feel overwhelmed because the kids have been having swim meets  for the  three straight weekends!  Whew, can anyone spell "tired mama"?

Mommy duties have been taking up much more time than usual, so a get-together with some friends is always a welcome break during the weekends.  Last Friday, I had lunch at CO/OP.

CO/OP is a hip coffee shop and retail store located in San Juan.  The place is tucked in a quiet spot along A. Mabini that if you drive by too fast, you will miss it.  I've always wanted to go in everytime we pass by, so when some of my mommy friends invited me to have lunch, I knew I have to say yes.

One side of the place is a retail store that sells unique items such as the one shown in the photos below:

{Weekend Footnotes} Relish Hello Happiness + Ramen Daisho + WichitaThinkOfDis BBQ Ribs + DIY Oreo Nutella Brownie Cups

You know the drill by now... my Weekend Footnotes post can only mean a scrumptious round-up of restaurants and home-cooked goodness.  Get ready for the photo overload!
Last Friday, J and I were invited to an intimate gathering to celebrate a mish-mash of events - victory party / prom / despedida of sorts. Since J had to attend her swim training first, it was a good thing the venue was quite near us. We had to rush right after her training and got there at 7:45pm, just in time before dinner started. It is my third time at RELISH Hello Happiness; and as usual, their food did not disappoint.  The roast chicken was especially flavorful and tender that I just had to go back for seconds. The butter rum cake and chocolate fudge cake was also so good that I had to control myself from getting another slice.

{Weekend Footnotes} Stella Wood Fired Bistro . Mamou Too . 8 Cuts Burger Blends . Cafe Shibuya

Weekends are met with great anticipation in my family because it is usually the time when we eat out - a lot! My food-fest started last Friday when some of the SoMoms got invited by the people behind Meat & Livestock Australia and S&R for a pre-Father's Day luncheon for us to sample imported Australian beef.

Counterflow: Raising Successful Kids In Today's World

Have you often wondered if you are doing things right, as far as parenting your kid is concerned?  I always have that question at the back of my mind.  No, I actually have a LOT of questions in my head!

The Bible is the greatest greatest resource/book to read on the topic of parenting; with documented examples on how God has been generous with his provision and grace for all His children; how He has been our deliverer, source of strength and stronghold in times of trouble; how He forgives us every time we ask for forgiveness, and how our redemption is made complete because His forgiveness of our sins is not dependent on how sorry we are but on His never-ending mercy and love.

If you want your parenting questions answered, attend Counterfow! Counterflow is a 1-day parenting conference (8am-5pm) to be held on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013 at the CCF Center Main Auditorium, Frontera Verde, Ortigas Avenue corner C5 Road, Pasig City

Although I have attended several parenting seminars in the past, I am looking forward to this one because two of the persons I admire will be speaking.
