The SoMoms were invited by KARIMADON to view their latest collection a few weeks ago. It was a fun-filled event where we were made to feel glamorous, like we were walking the red carpet – even just for a few hours. The event was at their flagship store at Glorietta 1. Some of the other SoMoms went in earlier at Karimadon's Megamall boutique, so we were a tiny group of three only for this day.
I have known KARIMADON since my high school days (do not ask how many years ago!), but I admit that I haven’t been to any of its stores for a long time now. The brand was established in 198O by Mr. and Mrs. Richard and Josie Go. The name KARIMADON is the acronym of the first names of the children of the couple.
I was the first one to arrive at the store, and I was warmly welcomed by Karimadon owner, Karen Go. She mentioned that manufacturing for the clothes sold in the store stays in the Philippines so they can monitor the quality and workmanship of their clothes . Karen also shared with me that all stores accept clothes alterations to make sure that everything you buy from the store fits perfectly and all customers are satisfied.
Here I am with Michelle and Patty wearing our first choice of outfits. I love the purple jumpsuit on Michelle, and I thought she looked super gorgeous in it!
This photo below shows the next gown I tried on. It seems like yellow is my favorite color that day, I chose 2 yellow gowns to try on that day. Which one do you like better, the first or second gown?
I’m glad we were invited because I discovered the store has a lot of fashionable gowns and dresses designed by their in-house design team that will make you feel beautiful whatever the occasion. KARIMADON is about looking fashionably stylish in quality and original designed apparel at very affordable price points: their gowns cost: P2,200-5,000, cocktail dresses: P1,500 - 2000, casual/corporate dresses: P1,000 - 2,000, separates: PhP 600 - 1,000, accessories: PhP 500 - 1,000.
Now that I know that Karimadon offers great selection of gowns at such a reasonable price, I do not have to worry as much when the need to wear one suddenly arises. As you know, it is difficult to dress up for a Chinese wedding. So difficult that I wrote a post on how to decode the secret language of formal attire for a Filipino-Chinese wedding. My in-laws get invited to a lot of weddings, and there are times when they get 2-3 wedding invitations on the same day. During those times, C and I are asked to proxy for them. It don't have to be stressed out anymore to look for a dress on such limited time, I can just go to Karimadon.

I love your choice! Same dilemma here when it comes to finding formal dresses at the spur of the moment! Hahahaha...I'm really happy with what I took home, and also knowing I can just run to a Karimadon store whenever I need party dresses. Had so much fun that day, bitin lang ang time to play dress up!
ReplyDeleteGood choice on that yellow dress, it really brings out the beauty in you. May I ask how much is it?
