Curves Magnolia + IG Giveaway

Whenever I see women my age with toned arms, I wish that mine would look like that, too. I miss the arms I had when I was in my 20s. Now that I'm in my 40s, I just stopped wearing sleeveless tops because I just want to hide my arms. It's not that I have big arms, it's just that they are devoid of muscles. It would look more attractive to wear sleeveless tops pag my definition sa arms kahit papaano, di ba?

I'm on my ideal weight, but I want to work on having a toned body naman. So I don't look like a lola. Hahahaha!

I've been on a low-sugar diet for about a year now. I'm not overweight to begin with, but after reading on the effects of sugar on our bodies, I wanted to lower my family's consumption of it. Not necessarily eliminate all types of sugar because that would be too drastic, and therefore hard to follow through. I just wanted to decrease our intake of refined sugar. I bake using dates as sweetener and we limit sweet treats to weekends only.

But of course, even if I lose the weight, a toned body will only come through hard work and exercise.

I know of Curves Magnolia through my friend, Rowena of Animetric's World. She has been going regularly for a couple of months now, and she claims to have lost weight even without extreme dieting, jsut consistent daily workouts of 30 minutes each time.
Curves is a fitness facility designed for women featuring a total body workout in just 30 minutes. It is composed of warm up, cardiovascular and strength training, cool down and stretching.

Curves Magnolia makes use of hydraulic resistance machines which are very convenient to use and safe for women of all ages and fitness level. It works with the same concept of aquatics wherein the more you exert effort, the more you work against the resistance which builds lean muscle, burn fats and raises metabolism. Which is basically everything that this mama needs!


Why Curves?
This workout is perfect for busy moms, let me correct myself, not just moms but all busy women in general, since it is only half an hour long.  It's so easy to squeeze it in our busy everyday, di ba? Their program is centered on strength training with cardio and flexibility all in just 30-minutes of total body workout. A circuit coach gives instruction as you go around in each of the stations. You spend about 30 seconds on each of the machines with a recovery station between each intervals.

Curves also has specialty classes like Zumba and Body Basics. The classes are incorporated during the recovery station, which means you still need to go through each resistance machine in between.


I want to try Arms and Core by Curves. The class promises to strengthen muscles in the arms and core which can, in turn, help prevent a lot of problems such as low back pain, muscle injuries, poor posture and increased fatigue. Hopefully, it will help me slowly get back into my sleeveless tops and show off those toned arms. 


During the time of my visit, it was off-peak and I saw them sanitizing the equipment. 
Now, my OC self is assured that the equipment re being cleaned regularly.
