Weekend Footnotes

Weekends are usually always about eating out for my family.  This time around we tried Lugang Cafe at SM Aura.  Lugang specializes in Taiwanese cuisine, and we have tried it several times before at the Greenhills branch, and it never fails to make our tummies happy.  This new branch doesn't disappoint , as well.
Xiao Long Bao is a MUST order for my son.

We did a bit of walking and some shopping after lunch, as the numerous SALE signage outside the store windows kept luring us to go in!:)  River Island is now open, for those of you waiting for the brand to open on our shores; and at the time of our visit, one of my my daughter's favorite bag brands, Kipling, was also on sale.

She is loving her new Converse!  Her shoe size just keeps on growing, she is already a size 9 in these sneakers!
While the teen and I were shopping, the younger ones went ahead with their dad to queue at the French franchise Paul Boulangerie.  Paul just recently opened last December 2013, and we cold see quite a number of expats lining up.  Aside from breads and pastires, they also serve snacks and refreshments.
The macarons are expensive at P250 a piece.  They are about the size of a small palm.

Moving over to Shangri-la Mall this time, we claimed our FREE Samsonite luggage at the store's location at the East Wing.  We got the 74 CM Lift, and couldn't be happier!  It is a great addition to our existing Samsonite luggage sets, which we will make good use of this summer!  Thanks to BDO and Amex Platinum for selecting us to be part of this promo! Thanks also to C's banker who is always so efficient, and makes sure to live out the BDO's tagline: "We find ways!"

Lately, we find ourselves frequently at the East Wing of Shangri-la Mall, perhaps because of the presence of a lot of new restos in the area.  Filipino restaurant, Zarzuela, is one of the newest additions.Out of everything that we ordered, the one that made an impression on all of us, including my kids, was the Bangus Belly Sardines.  It is a gourmet version of the bottled sardines in olive oil, but really, really good!
