Ange Curl by Ayumi Japanese Lashes

As I've mentioned in my previous blog post, my daughter and I went to Ayumi sometime in February. I tried their Tokyo Bright Teeth Whitening, while my daughter got the lash extensions she has long been wanting to get.

Today I'll share more about the Ange Curl procedure by Ayumi which my daughter did a week ago.

Ange Curl is the first of its kind in the Philippines where its like a lash lift and a lash volumizer in one. High-quality sable mink Japanese lashes are attached to your natural lashes using a serum-infused glue to keep your natural lashes intact, stronger and lifted.

When we had the assessment with the lash technician, my daughter just told her that she prefers a natural look so she can go to school and not call attention to herself and her lashes. She wants something that is perfect for everyday wear as a student BUT a little bit longer, a little more lift, a little more full than her average looking natural lashes. And that's what she got!

That's one of the nice things about Ayumi is that the client can choose the length and thickness depending on the look they are going for. Of course, if you're the type who wants full-on glamorous looking lashes, then Ayumi can cater to that, too

She's mostly in school and doesn't go to too much parties din naman kaya she doesn't really
put on make-up that often. To make sure that her lash extensions doesn't look OA sa school, she opted to get the classic lashes. That's one of the nice things about Ayumi is that the client can choose the length and thickness depending on the look they are going for.

The entire procedure took about 2 hours. She was made to sit down on one of these reclinable chairs.  She was ready for the long wait, though and prepared a Spotify playlist for it. She said it was so relaxing that she was tempted to take a nap several times.

Sa totoo lang, she has long been bugging me for eyelash extensions, since middle of last year pa ata. I was hesitant because I have heard stories from friends about how high-maintenance they are and how it might make her natural lashes fall off. But friends who also had eyelash extensions done at Ayumi assured me that they use premium 100% sable mink ultra light lashes from Japan that gives you unbelievably natural looking, easy to maintain lashes that are absolutely pain-free.

The extensions are expertly bonded individually on a ‘lash by lash’ basis to her natural lashes giving her longer, thicker, more luscious looking lashes. A high quality glue infused with serum, also from Japan, is used to adhere the lash extensions to her natural lashes. Unlike regular lash adhesives, it’s gentle formula makes the application virtually pain-free.

Hahaha! It's not a photo shoot pag walang duck face, di ba?
Her routine for her "school face" is now so simplified after getting the Ange Curl.
She constantly gets compliments from schoolmates about how she looks so nice.
She can honestly say daw: "Oh, I woke up like this!"

5 Reasons Why My Daughter Recommends Ayumi:

  1. Her lash extensions feels natural. They are not heavy on her lids and does not make her eyes tired or itchy. Since she goes to school, she wanted extensions which looks like her natural lashes BUT longer, thicker and more luscious. She's very satisfied that she got the lash extensions she specified.
  2. She can still do her usual sports activities like swim and play futsal. But she refrained from wetting her new lashes for the first 48 hours to allow the glue to dry and bond properly.
  3. It makes prepping for school a whole lot easier. She goes to school without curling her lashes and gets compliments from schoolmates about how she looks so nice. She can honestly say daw: "Oh, I woke up like this!"

The downside, though, is that she has to be conscious of her sleeping position. She avoids sleeping on her sides, or worse on her stomach to avoid getting her lashes squashed into the pillow. The morning after the application, she woke up and found a few lashes (around 3) on her bed. Since then, mas nag-ingat na sya sa sleeping position nya.

To maintain the fullness of her lash extensions, she's advised to book in 2-3 weeks for a touch-up session so her lash technician can add in missing lashes.
